Sorry it's been a while!!

Ok... so I've been absent again!! I've been distracted by house renovations and planning for the new school year so I've not had a lot of time for crafting... much less blogging! But hopefully I'll be back on track soon!

I made this card for the Inspiring Inkin' challenge which was to make a birthday card for a child using an animal stamp. I went with Forest Friends (as I don't have any other animal stamp sets...!!) and decided to make a card for a baby boy (I do have one in mind...). I stamped the bunnies with Bashful Blue and the deer with Creamy Caramel. The tree from this set was stamped in Creamy Caramel on the Creamy Caramel background. The DSP from the retiring Wintergreen pack was torn along one edge.

I created an embellishment with Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon, a Creamy Caramel button and Linen Thread. I added some piercing and faux stitching as finishing touches.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Forest Friends, Basic Phrases
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy
Paper: Creamy Caramel, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy, WW, Wintergreen DSP
Accessories: Circle punches, Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon, Creamy Caramel button, Linen Thread, White Signo Gel Pen, Paper piercing template

Thanks for stopping by!
