Emboss Resist...

Hiya!

Just a quick post to show you a card I made last night for our SU team challenge - this week it was a technique challenge: emboss resist. This is what I came up with:

Emboss resist is when you emboss an image then stamp or sponge over the top - the embossing powder resists the ink so the embossed image comes through. I inked up the swirl from Baroque Motifs first with Versamark then with Melon Mambo and stamped it on Very Vanilla. I embossed this with clear embossing powder. I then inked up the background stamp Friendly with Versamark and stamped that over the whole piece and embossed with clear EP as well. I then sponged Creamy Caramel and Soft Suede around the edges and distressed with my cutter kit.

The butterfly (from the a-la-carte stamp All a Flutter in the UK mini catty) was stamped on Very Vanilla with Soft Suede and sponged with Melon Mambo ink. I added Crystal Effects to make it shiny. I added some Very Vanilla ribbon and a Choc Chip button to finish.

Thanks for stopping by - I'll be back tomorrow with another Curtain Call colour challenge...
