Hello!
I made this card for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. The challenge was to use your favourite stamp set - now I don't have any Flourishes sets (yet...! But my birthday's coming up soon... hee hee!) so I decided to use my favourite SU set: A Rose is a Rose. This was the set that jumped out at me from the latest SU catalogue and every time I use it I am thrilled with how gorgeous it looks...
For this card, I stamped the rose image using Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose ink. The leaves were stamped using Old Olive (the first impression was stamped off, hence the two tones). I cut all the images out and clear embossed by applying Versamark ink over the whole image and dipping in clear embossing powder and heating.
The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White using Regal Rose ink then I applied Versamark ink over the top and added Heat and Stick powder, which I heated, then dipped in Dazzling Diamonds glitter, which I heated again to set. The ovals were made using the new oval punches from the mini catalogue - oh so fabulous!
The papers are a combination of Sweet Always (that's the pink piece underneath the Rose) and Ski Slope (the Old Olive squares in the background).
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: A Rose is a Rose, Best Yet
Ink: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive
Paper: Sweet Always, Ski Slope, Choc Chip, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Accessories: clear EP, Heat and stick powder, glitter, oval punches
TFL and have a great day!
